SPSS 3: LOGISTIC REGRESSION, SURVIVAL ANALYSIS, AND POWER ANALYSIS
During the first course day, a foundation will be added to the more advanced non-linear statistics, including logistic regression. During this day, ROC will also be treated as it is useful for diagnostic tests and regression. On the second day, the participants will be able to work with survival analysis where survival curves (Kaplan-Meier) will be used. Comparison of different groups will be used as well as more advanced cases where Cox PH regression must be used. Finally, even simpler power calculations will be managed.
Goal: One goal of the course is that the participant should be able to use advanced regression models in a basic way in SPSS and also be able to understand and validate the results. Furthermore, after the course days, the participant should be able to use and handle basic survival analysis and be able to calculate power and sample sizes in some common scenarios.
Previous Knowledge: SPSS 1 or equivalent knowledge in basic statistics. It is an advantage if the participant is familiar with the concepts used in regression and has a good habit of managing the program’s functions.
Language: The course is held in Swedish or English (see respective course date for details).
